It has big pills of fabric, the same way cotton socks leave pieces of cotton between your toes, but this blanket is polyester. I am NOT able to use it like a bed spread because it looks so awful after one washing. I spent a lot on it for just a twin size blanket, and I am thinking of throwing it out since I won't use it; I don't want the pilled, nappy "balls" which are large to stick to other fabrics on the bed & then I have a bigger mess. I will try to attach a picture here.
